Hot-air ovens are becoming increasingly popular in health-conscious kitchens. Cosori's hot-air oven with the innovative \"Dual Blaze\" heating system promises even cooking from the bottom and the top. Will it deliver on this promise?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For me, the most important thing about hot-air ovens is that you can cook without a lot of fat or oil - so it's healthier and faster. In today's fast-paced world, I think this is very important. I have been reading reviews of several brands for a long time, and I was particularly attracted to the Cosori brand and the Dual Blaze model because of its clean, minimalist design and the fact that it has a heating element on the top and bottom, which makes it easier to use. I had the pleasure of testing this device courtesy of Alza.hu. I will now share with you my opinion and my honest experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The unit is 1700W, has a wide range of preset programmes and can even be controlled from a smartphone. An intuitive touch panel on the top, at the front, allows you to easily set a range of functions. The temperature can be adjusted between 75 and 205 degrees Celsius in 5 degree increments. At the time of writing, the Dual Blaze was available in light grey or black (perhaps dark grey for me). I ended up with the light grey version.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I had time for a short term test, but from the moment I unpacked it, I could feel that the device was made of sturdy, quality materials, unlike some other brands. The box also included a tray oven insert, a grill rack (with skewer sticks), as well as instructions and a recipe book. The recipe book gives a taste of the dishes that can be prepared in six different languages, but interestingly Hungarian is not included, although the good news is that you can download a PDF version in Hungarian from Cosori's website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So far I have used the machine almost every day. I've made breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert in it. I'll bring you a report on my long-term experience later, as well as quick recipes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I've baked egg breakfasts, French bread, sourdough tortilla pizza, puff pastry desserts, sponge cakes, stir-fries, other meaty main courses with chicken and chops, and of course, baked potatoes. The machine did a very good job on all of them, nothing dried out, it's just a matter of finding the right recipe and getting the heat setting right. The fried chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside and the cakes were evenly cooked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
