(These proportions will make 3 5 dl jars of jam.) Pick the strawberries, wash them and cut out the bad parts. Mint, lemongrass, lavender and basil also go well with strawberries, feel free to try these herbs.
Sterilize the jars: I wash them in the dishwasher and then put them in a 105 degree oven for about 30 minutes.
Put the strawberries in a saucepan and add 1-2 handfuls of fresh chopped basil leaves to taste. Mash with a fork or a hand blender. Scrape the foam off the top.
You can add 1 teaspoon of citric acid, 455 g of sugar and 35 g of jam fix. (1 pack + 1/4 pack)
Boil for about 3 minutes from boiling, then pour the hot jam into the hot sterilised jars. I also put some tin foil on top, put the top on the jar and turn it upside down for about 10 minutes. Then I cover it and leave it to cool.
