Vegital Rainbow Vegetable Supplement Drink Maker - User Friendly Review and Testimonials
Sponsored post - special thanks to Malompark Ltd. for providing me with this super herbal drink maker!
User experience:
One of the best parts of making herbal drinks at home is that you really are only limited by your imagination when it comes to creating your own herbal drinks. I'm constantly experimenting with flavours and ingredients myself - almond and coconut is my favourite right now, but I love trying different seeds and grains, maybe with a little vanilla or cinnamon to jazz it up.
The advantage of a home-made herbal drink is not only that I know exactly what goes into it (no additives, flavours, flavour enhancers, just the "pure" seed "milk"), but the taste is a whole other dimension - much better than the shop alternatives! What's more, the price per litre is incomparable: while herbal drinks from the better-known brands can easily cost over a thousand HUF, you can really make it at home for a fraction of the price, so you quickly recoup the cost of the machine itself.
I also have to say how pleased I am with the look of the appliance: clean, modern, elegant, it fits in any kitchen and is easy to clean.
I use it several times a week, every 2 days or so, and it typically makes 1.8 litres of drink, which makes about 1.6 litres of silky seed drink - of course, it depends on what kind of seeds, oats, rice you use and how much water you add.
It's important to know that the finished drink will keep its freshness best for 2-3 days if stored in the fridge, so it's best to make the amount you'll actually consume.
The drink maker has 10 programmes, so you can quickly make milk substitutes, soups, smoothies or even jam. The duration of the programmes varies from 20 to 35 minutes, except for the self-cleaning one, which lasts only 3 to 4 minutes. The self-cleaning function is quick and thorough, but manual cleaning - especially under the knives - is sometimes necessary.
Little difficulty, but well worth it
The only "hassle" is that some recipes may require several strainings to make the drink extra silky - but there are also herbal drink combinations where there is hardly any filtration. The leftovers aren't wasted either, as you can make super recipes with the leftover filtrate from the seeds: coconut balls, oatmeal biscuits, rice cakes, sponge cakes, muffins, and I'm experimenting with a sourdough dessert recipe that I'll share in the recipes section soon.
During the chopping phase, it can sometimes be unexpectedly loud (but quieter than a regular blender).
It's a large, family-size unit, so you can make enough drinks for several days or for a large family - fresh, flavourless and without additives every time!
Summary
I can honestly say that the Vegital Rainbow herbal drink maker a very versatile, friendly machine that always puts fresh, delicious herbal drinks on the table - at a better price, with better quality and endless variation. I'm also testing the vegetable cream substitute and the cream soup programme, recipes for these will be coming soon!
