Strawberry jam with basil

Quick and easy strawberry jam with a touch of basil.

Ingredients
  

  • 1725 g strawberry
  • 1-2 handful bazsalikom fresh
  • 455 g sugar
  • 1 tk citric acid
  • 35 g 3:1 jam fix

Instructions
 

  • (These proportions will make 3 5 dl jars of jam.) Pick the strawberries, wash them and cut out the bad parts. Mint, lemongrass, lavender and basil also go well with strawberries, feel free to try these herbs.
  • Sterilize the jars: I wash them in the dishwasher and then put them in a 105 degree oven for about 30 minutes.
  • Put the strawberries in a saucepan and add 1-2 handfuls of fresh chopped basil leaves to taste. Mash with a fork or a hand blender. Scrape the foam off the top.
  • You can add 1 teaspoon of citric acid, 455 g of sugar and 35 g of jam fix. (1 pack + 1/4 pack)
  • Boil for about 3 minutes from boiling, then pour the hot jam into the hot sterilised jars. I also put some tin foil on top, put the top on the jar and turn it upside down for about 10 minutes. Then I cover it and leave it to cool.
